About Us

Senteza Kironde

Senteza “Sentie” Kironde is a multi-talented Ugandan chef who began cooking at the tender age of nine and inherited his love for the culinary arts from his family and dad, Apollo Kadumukasa Kironde Il, a renowned chef. He received his Business degree and MBA both from Babson College which enabled him to enjoy a rewarding career in Finance but his calling was in the culinary arts.

Chef Sentie is the visionary behind Sentie’s Kitchen, a dynamic Ugandan catering and pop-up establishment proudly rooted in Boston’s vibrant culinary scene. As the driving force and owner of Sentie’s Kitchen, Chef Sentie leads with a passion for connecting communities through the universal language of food, culture, and music.

Renowned for his mastery of wood-smoked barbecue, Chef Sentie takes pride in sourcing the finest meats from local providers and infusing them with a symphony of exotic Ugandan herbs and spices. Each dish is meticulously crafted, with flavors that tell a compelling story of tradition and innovation

It’s a family business

Sentie’s love for creating a welcoming atmosphere extends beyond the business. When he’s not infusing dishes with Ugandan magic, you’ll likely find him spending time with his wife and their four energetic children. Their support and love fuel his passion for sharing Ugandan cuisine and culture with the community.

2024

Sentie’s Kitchen had pulled it off! We had won the award for 2024 best entree and it was magical. Crowds of people came to congratulate us and to tell us it was well deserved. In that moment I realized that I had bet on myself and now the king of African BBQ was out to conquer the MetroWest one plate at a time. We got next 💪🏾

Embassy Chef Challenge

Sentie’s Kitchen was selected by the Ugandan Embassy to represent Uganda at the Embassy Chef Challenge in Washington D.C. While we didn’t bring the trophy home, it was an amazing experience and we look forward to next year’s challenge. We’re grateful for the support and well wishes from everyone.

Grand Opening

Sunday, September 22 2024 marks the long awaited grand opening of Senties Kitchen.
